Lillian received her first gifts from her baby registry! I'm not sure they could be any more sentimental! First, she received a stuffed buffalo which officially is her inauguration into the Buffalo tribe! She also received a pound puppy which was my most significant childhood stuffed animal ( I may or may not still sleep with said pound puppy when I'm grumpy or sick). And who gave her these gifts? Her Aunt Ca, of course!

Baby Registry
So, my co-workers have strong armed me into making a baby registry. It is NOT as fun as people make it out to be. It's stressful to think that you're basically asking people to buy you stuff. ANYWAYS... https://www.amazon.com/gp/baby-reg/ref=?ie=UTF8&lid=38DYLCJCBV4OG
If you want to buy something for Little Lillian, she's got plenty of clothes! She's got plenty of newborn diapers/nappies. She also specifically asked for no noise-producing toys!

Baby furniture
Scott and I have, once again, gotten away cheap thanks to my honed skills of bargain shopping. You're welcome checkbook. We've purchased a crib, changing table, and dresser for $40 and a rocking chair for $40. Well, they're ugly so add another $80 for paint. And now you've got beautiful customized baby furniture for Little Lillian. Her colors are Florence and Country Grey (That Annie Sloan paint speak for teal and taupe). We're about half way through the painting process. We both have tomorrow off so hopefully we'll be completely done by tomorrow!!
24 weeks appointment
Scott and I went to Lillian's 24 week appointment yesterday. Lillians is completely healthy and growing but she is TINY! She is in the 14th percentile for size. I'm not that upset because that means there will be less to push out!!! I've gained about 15 pounds which the doctor says is on track (but, come on if Lillians small I'm thinking I've probably gained too much). My sweet tooth has grown IMMENSELY, fighting that has been my greatest battle lately. Besides the battle of the boobs... all you moms know what I'm talking about.

Changes
My boobs are huge! I'll need new bras soon. Although the honkers are big, my stomach is bigger. I'll post pictures soon. Scott and I painted some of Lillians furniture. It's adorable.

Update
Sorry for the lag time between posts... Still dealing with disbelief.
Had my second appointment today at the OB/GYN. They just weighed me, listened to the heartbeat on the doppler, and check in with Scott and I. We made an appointment with radiology for the anatomy screening and had MORE LABS!!! done to check for more abnormalities.
I'm still throwing up regularly but not feeling sick all the time.
Scott and I are going to our first boot sale (flea market) of the season on sunday to sell a bunch of junk we cleaned out of the junk/baby room. All that money will probably go to baby stuff.
A co-worker offered to give me all her old maternity clothes. We're doing pretty well financially with this baby! Go Cheapskates!

Not for the sqeemish
So, this past week/two weeks I've been struggling with a cough/cold. I looked up what medicines I can take and decided to go with Robitussin, a medicine I don't believe I've used before. All went well for a while but the last five or so times I've taken it, I've vomited about 5 minutes afterwards. Thinking it was just normal pregnancy sickness I never associated the two.
Until Today...
Ate my usual Cream of Wheat for breakfast (that will change!!) and then proceeded to take the recommended dosage of Robitussin. The cough killer. Now store in the back of your brain that I usually can feel a vomit session coming and can, in a civilized manner, make it to the nearest toilet.... usually... Back to the story. Cream of wheat, Robitussin, next a sudden vomit session. A mouth full of Cream of Wheat, so full I couldn't close my lips but trapped the Cream of Wheat with my hands over my mouth. I commence sprinting into our bedroom (I noticed I awoke Scott by his alerted string of profanities) and then threw up more before making it to the toilet. Where does this Cream of Wheat go with my mouth already being full? Think... Where does it go? The front of my mouth is block by a hand.
MY NOSE! Up and out.
Robitussin colored Cream of Wheat. Quite painful.
Alerted husband, comes and takes care of pathetic me. I now believe I'm alergic to Robitussin from my co-workers pointing out that my face looked swollen for few hours and that directed me to notice that my face was in fact red and tingly. I'm too dense to put that together on my own.
It's safe to say that I might take the coughing over Robitussin from now on.

Try to beat this...
Threw up on the way home, whilst driving my car... held it my mouth for about two minutes til I could locate my tea mug (coffee mug, just don't like calling it a coffee mug if I don't use it for coffee) and spit the vomit into the mug. Impressive talent or disgusting trick?
Baby Flea Market
Last weekend Scott and I went to a baby flea market... second hand shopping *que music* These are a few of my favorite things! *End music*. The flea market (actually called a boot sale) was located in a village about 45 minutes away (only twenty miles) Go England's road system! The village was a stereotypical English village... tiny, set around a block, all the main attractions in the center of the city, and the community center which it was located in was IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND! Tiny village, three main streets, impossible to find. We had to ask for directions and the woman who helped us was OVERLY helpful! So sweet.
Anyways, this boot sale, called the Cheeki Monkey, is a monthy occurance. January being its kick off and it was TOTALLY LAME! Only four people were actually selling things. If we knew the sex of the baby it would have been awesome, as most of the items were gender specific but it was still a fun excursion. And now we know where the Cheeki Monkey is located for the next go arounds.
Purhcases:
- A set of 30 Disney story books! Little Mermaid to Wall-E!
- A crib bumper (didn't know what it was, the lady looked at me and asked if this was my first child1)
- baby hangers

First OB Appointment
Scott and I had our first OB appointment today. The doctor, a female, was a bit weird. She seemed super nervous but less like it was situational and more like that was her personality. Think Professor Trelawney from Harry Potter.
As many of you know, I haven't been bitten by the 'excited' bug yet but when I saw that baby doing acrobats inside of me, saw its heart fluttering, and heard the heartbeat tears formed and flowed freely. Scott just watched the screen cool, calm, and collected. That is until the Professor left the room, then you would think someone gave him a new Harley.
I have to do a glucose test sometime next week. Not looking forward to it.
Next appointment is 05 March. Won't know the sex until at least 22 weeks.

Bomb Dropped
So, there was this one time when I was super sick and my amazing husband forced me to go to the ER. I had lost six 5-6 pounds in a week from vomiting, stomach pain, and general crappiness. No big deal, right? Well, the ER doc said the words that will forever change our lives. "Your symptoms could quite possibly be related to the fact that you're pregnant"....... you could hear pins drop. He must have thought us rude from the lack of responses to his FOUR congratulatory remarks. Nope. Pins dropping? More like bombs.
Baby Weeks... due August 19th.
One more way for me to ruin (Aunt) Erica's birthday.
